Heather Dean Wright   Heather founded the Sport Horse section of the Stud in 1980 as it was mostly Connemaras before that. At present Heather runs the Stud .Heather has ridden and competed in all three disciplines; showjumping, eventing and dressage, usually preparing the horses she rides from scratch. Heather has both competed at grade 'A' level showjumping and International level eventing. She have a keen involvement in horse-breeding, relating bloodlines to performance.  She also coaches students who come from home and abroad. Bruce and Margo Dean set up Ardmulchan Stud over 40 years ago. In '96 it was decided to move from Navan to Kells, a distance of about 20Km, and Cherrymount became the new home. Bruce is the manager of the woodland and farm while Margo produces and breeds Connemara Ponies within the Stud, along with her involvement with all the competition horses. It is from these mares that we will be selling a crop of foals every year. The progeny will be listed at the end of each mares description. This is to enable anyone interested in any of our foals to view all the information first Ard Caramel Born 2002 IHR S1, 163 cms Colour Dun   Our special mare because I (Heather) have her as my riding mare, I love jumping her and even if I don't get time to compete these days she stays with us. Half Connemara, half Dutch Warmblood. Her dam, Ard Reverie had showjumping points and was placed 2nd in  an RDS Dublin Show Qualifier with Me for Horses!. The next dam Seskin Dusk  bred a  Grade 'A' 13.2 Showjumper and also bred an Open Working Hunter and a successful pony in the UK. Full sister to International 1.50 Showjumper Dam of Ard Toffee, jumped in the RDS Dublin 4 y'olds Also the Dam of the up and comming stallion Ard Golden Crisp and the mare Ard Caramel
